Service Descriptions
Welcome to CSUN University Library Reservations!
Here are our options for Fall 2024:
Select Creative Maker Studio to reserve time for the following CMS services: Audio Recording Room, Production Room, Sewing Room, VR Room, Vinyl Cutter, Button Maker, Creative Scanner Station, West Wing Computer Stations and 3D print consultation appointment. Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance.
Select Interactive Display Group Study Rooms to reserve specialized study rooms equipped with a large touch-screen display and built-in computer to collaborate on group meetings, interviews, or small presentations. Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance. Students MUST check in at the Library Technology Services desk prior to their reservation start time to check out the room key and necessary display components.
Select Group Study Rooms for same-day reservations up to one hour or Individual Study Rooms for same-day reservations up to two hours.
Individual study rooms are located on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. Those located along the south wall of the building are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Those along the north side of the 2nd and 3rd floors must be reserved using our online reservation system. Those located along the north side of the 4th floor are for graduate students only, who must check out a key for them at the Guest Services desk. Group study rooms for 2 or more CSUN students are located on the main floor in the Learning Commons on a first come, first-served basis, including open mediascape tables LC-1, LC-2, and LC-3, and rooms LC-4, LC-8, LC-9, LC-10, and LC-11. Group study rooms located on floors 2, 3 and 4 are reservable by 2 or more CSUN students.
Graduate Students have access to the Graduate Study Room, located on the lower level, in addition to the individual graduate rooms located along the north side of the 4th floor. Keys to these rooms may be obtained at the Guest Services Desk. Graduate Students may also check out a key to a 4th floor grad study room at the Guest Services desk or reserve individual or group study rooms (with two or more students) using the menu options under "Book a Service". Please note: The Graduate Study Room located on the lower level, will re-open on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Assistive Technology Rooms are located on the main floor in the Learning Commons, just to the left (west) of the Reference Desk, in rooms LC-5, LC-6, and LC-7, which are for CSUN students registered with Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES). Students trained by DRES staff are provided a card to present at the Guest Services Desk to check out a key to use one of these rooms for up to 3 hours per day.
