Step into the world of game creation where participants will learn the basics of the Unity engine. Learn what games developers have created using Unity. Learn where to find assets, scripts, and understand scriptwriting structure for game development. Next, dive into the Unity interface where participants will navigate through important windows and tools needed for building interactive 2D and 3D environments. Through guided exercises, you’ll explore core concepts like game objects, physics, scripting, and player controls. By the end of the session, you’ll have created a simple playable scene and gained insight into how games come to life.

If you would like to follow along during the workshop and don't have access to Unity, we recommend downloading the free Personal version of Unity. Allow up to 1-2 hours for the program to fully download and install onto your computer as well as account for setup time of your Unity Hub account.
