Video Editing in Premiere Pro Online
Learn how to tell your story through film by signing up for this hands-on workshop perfect for beginners. Learn the essentials of the powerful video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro which is used by millions of filmmakers around the world. Participants will learn how to navigate Premiere Pro’s interface, organize footage, and apply essential editing techniques like cutting, trimming, and adding transitions. You’ll also explore how to enhance your video with sound, text, and color adjustments. After learning the basics, you’ll create your own short video based on a story you create using the provided stock footage. By the end, you’ll walk away with both a finished mini project and the skills to continue editing confidently on your own.
This workshop will be held in a hybrid format. Attendees have the option to attend virtually on Zoom or in-person. Please note that the first 25 in-person attendees will be guaranteed a seat in the lecture room. Once in-person attendance is full, the remaining attendees will have to watch virtually.
If you would like to follow along during the workshop and don't have access to Adobe Premiere Pro, we recommend submitting an Adobe Creative Cloud License Request to CSUN IT to get set up with an Adobe CC License. Requests can take up to 2 business days to process so please plan ahead and submit a request in advance. Once you get an Adobe CC license, you can also access the program on the University Library West Wing Computer Stations which are loaded with industry standard editing/digital design software.
