Reservation Details

*Please note during Summer hours Group Study Rooms are available on a first come first served basis.

Group study rooms are for the use of 2 or more CSUN students for collaborative study and group projects.

These rooms are available to reserve up to 2 days in advance, while the library is open. Please see the Library’s hours for details

Students may reserve up to a maximum of one room per day for a 1-hour time block, up to seven days per week. Reservations must be confirmed by email within 30 minutes of making the reservation. By confirming the reservation, students agree that the group study rooms will be used by a group of two or more students. Students are highly encouraged to bring a (print or digital) copy of their confirmation as proof of reservation. The Library reserves the right to ask single occupants -- with or without confirmed reservations -- to vacate a room immediately for a group of two or more CSUN students.

If you do not show up within 10 minutes of your scheduled start time, your reservation may be cancelled.

Noise level for group study spaces must remain reasonable as to not disturb other library users. In addition, students using the group study rooms located on the 4th floor are expected to keep their voices down while entering/exiting the study room since the 4th floor is designated for quiet study.

Posters, notes, and other items may not be hung on walls or windows. Windows are not to be covered or obstructed. Lights must remain on at all times. Maximum occupancy limits must be adhered to or group study room privileges may be lost.

Failure to comply with established policies may result in suspension of group study room privileges and/or other library privileges.

Graduate Study Rooms and Assistive Technology Rooms are NOT included in this reservation form. Go to the Guest Services Checkout Desk in the lobby for access to these rooms.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 health situation the Oviatt Library Building will be closed starting Thursday March 19. More about the closure.
